Alis volat propriis
(She flies with her own wings)
Oregon’s state motto
Oregon expects to be an early adopter and long-term innovator in sustainable mobility. We are actively seeking strategic partners to help elevate and accelerate the introduction, evaluation, and adoption of low- and no-emission vehicles, EVs and otherwise. We want to hear from you if you are a vehicle manufacturer, supplier, designer, creative urban planer, ITS software specialist, imaginative consultant, benefactor, public opinion researcher, social innovator, futurist (or pragmatist) with a good idea, breakthrough product, or transformative service.

Current Partners
By late 2009, Oregon had formalized, via memoranda of understanding, several key relationships with Nissan, eTec, Mitsubishi, and the Rocky Mountain Institute. Other alliances are under discussion and likely forthcoming.
The Oregon Advantage
Oregon has several unique and useful advantages to offer a prospective partner:
- The will to partner in a balanced, mutually beneficial manner
- A strong reputation for leadership in sustainability and environmental stewardship
- An equally strong reputation for land preservation and urban growth management
- A well-scaled, compact transportation and urban corridor that concentrates the bulk of our population in a 100-mile strip connecting Eugene-Corvallis-Salem-Portland.
- An extended transportation corridor that connects the cities of Oregon, from Eugene north into Washington state and on to Vancouver, B.C. This corridor covers a population base over 10M residents, equal in size to the major metropolises of North America.
- A quirky, heritage for progressive public policy, good governance, and engaged citizens
- A solid urban planning pedigree, regional planning structure, and integrated transit strategy
- Unmatched collegiality and collaboration among executive and policy-level decision makers in our public, private and non-profit sectors; we get it done by working together.
- An open source orientation and capacity
